History
Casa Hogar Máximo Cornejo Quiroz A.C.
CASA HOGAR MÁXIMO CORNEJO, A.C., was founded in February 1993. Its name is inspired by the beloved memory of Don Máximo Cornejo Quiroz, tireless promoter of the tourist sector of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. Don Máximo, founding President of the Association of Hotels and Motels of Puerto Vallarta, was an important developer and promoter of the hotel industry in this port.
Encouraged by his wife Elisa, Don Máximo founded the CASA HOGAR with the aim of providing support to abandoned and neglected girls and boys; some without the care of their families, others victims of abuse and violence, or living in situations of extreme poverty.
His dream was to create a space where basic care and essential care could be offered to these children; giving them the opportunity to grow and receive education to gain confidence in themselves, develop their self-esteem, and reintegrate them into society.
Thanks to the Vallarta community and enthusiastic visitors from the United States and Canada, who have committed to the cause, we are celebrating 26 years. Since the first day this CASA HOGAR opened its doors, it has welcomed just over 300 girls and boys, providing them with the necessary care from infancy to adolescence. THANK YOU for continuing this dream, making each story a reality.
Values
We are a non-profit organization formed with strong values and objectives, which we transmit to the children:

Other values lived at Casa Hogar include: Respect, tolerance, order, coexistence, love, interest in each and every child, responsibility, generosity, and honesty.
Our Mission
Contribute to improving the quality of life of the children of Puerto Vallarta who live in extreme vulnerability, through a model of comprehensive development and care in four strategic areas:
- Home
- Nutrition
- Physical and emotional health
- Education
Philosophy
We work with the firm conviction that the development of each child must be based on creating an atmosphere of security and self-esteem; so that, in this way, our children, feeling valued and knowing themselves to be valued, can face their reality with independence and maturity.
Vision
Support the children of Vallarta in situations of vulnerability, providing them with a platform of opportunities that leads them to optimal development of their human potential.
The Team
Currently, Casa Hogar houses a total of 32 children of all ages (from infants to adolescents). For this purpose, we have the support of a team of collaborators dedicated to the care of the children, as well as volunteers committed to the cause.
Thanks to this work, our boys and girls currently receive moral support, physical care, medical, emotional, and spiritual attention, within an atmosphere of love and respect.
